I love this ocean

Bilde
Hello and welcome to my blog!  This card was fun to make, a lot of coloring and fussy cutting and ink blending. I came up with an idea while at work and I sketched the design out. It's almost like the design I had planned. Almost 🤣 Even though it's just a sketch you can see I can't draw... What looks like weird clothes hangers are supposed to represent mermaids and the weird S-shape under the water is a sea horse... So glad I have stamps!! 😂  I started with stamping out all the stamps so I could color them. My plan was to use every piece and every mermaid on my card.  My second plan was to have the mermaids in rainbow colors so I started at the top and worked my way down in the order of the rainbow.  And since I don't have any dies for these I fussy cut out all the pieces...  At this point my idea from the sketch went out the door. I decided to do an underwater scene instead of and under and over the sea scene. So to make t

Hi and welcome to my blog.  Again I will say that I suck at taking pictures during the process... Anyway, this is my first entry into this weeks monday challenge by Simon Says Stamp. The theme is "Life on the ocean waves".  So my card isn't especially on the ocean, but more in the ocean, but hey, mermaids live both over and under water 😋 The products I used is:  Art Deco stencil from Gina K. Designs. Distress Oxide Inks Milled Lavender and Seedless Preserves from Tim Holtz. Mermaid stamp set I got ages ago from Amazon.  Colored the image with my new color pencils that in my eyes are amazing!  Clear pearls from a local store.  With the stencil I first used Milled Lavender and then shifted the stencil and used Seedless Preserves over.  Love the effect i got.  And this is what i ended up with 😊 And I'm quite pleased because it is what I had in mind.  Thanks the visit!  Please come and visit me on Instagram:  https://w

Scraps - don't throw them away!

Bilde
Hi and welcome to my blog!  This is another one where I didn't take picture during the process... Oh well...  Jennifer McGuire always says don't throw away your scraps and I've been listening!  And this is what I ended up with when I collected some with the same color scheme. Even though it doesn't look like it, but I've used scraps from five different cards and yes, I love these colors together. The sentiment is from Simple Strips Background stamp from Taylored Expressions.  Distress Oxide Inks colors: Picked Raspberry Ripe Persimmon Fossilized Amber Wilted Violet Thanks for stopping by! A jungle card

Hi and welcome to my blog.  There is something I struggle with and that is taking pictures during my process... Here's the proof of that 😂 So I'm just gonna list up how I did this and what products I used. Leaf stencil with three different green Distress Oxide Inks. I turned the stencil around in different ways to get this effect Cover die is Jungle Frame from Hero Arts. I cut it out twice and glued them together.  The monkeys are from Color Layering Palm Tree stamp set from Hero Arts. The sentiment from the same stamp set.  The sequins is from Little Things from Lucy's cards.  I'm not overly excited about this to be honest, but I do think the monkeys looks great 🤣 Thanks for stopping by! Hello and welcome to my blog!  This will be one of my entries into Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge where the theme this week is "Make your own background", and I love making backgrounds so this will be perfect for me 😊 So with this card I did an alcohol ink background on Tim Holtz silver sparkle alcohol cardstock. I love how shimmery it gets.  Colors used: Dandelion Flamingo Turquoise Finished! 😁 I love how three colors can turn to different colors. I wished I had more purple shades, but I think it turned out great. You can't go wrong with alcohol inks!  😉 The background isn't done guite yet. I thought I would use a stencil and translucent embossing paste from Dreamveaver as texture. The stencil is Sunburst from Altenew.  Btw, love my Make Art Stay-TION from Wendy Vecchi! It's fantastic!  The paste goes on white but dries clear and the effect is great.  And this is what I ended up with 😊 I used the big b

Welcome to the neighborhood!

Hello and welcome!  This card was a struggle, I struggled so much trying to decide what to put as an background to my car! I don't have stamps, or dies, of houses, trees, hills and clouds cause I'm not a scenemaking cardmaker, but if I'm gonna continue entering SSS challenges I might have to get some 😁  The theme for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge this week is "Transport It". And the only stamp I've got that fits into transporting something is this car with a bicycle on the roof... I got to start buying other stamps than flowers 😂 Anyway, here it is!  Supplies: Background: Distress Oxide on black card stock with some splashes. The car stamp is from Panduro, a Nordic/Norwegain craft store. Altenew Leaf Frame Cover Die. Sentiment from Tailored Expressions Simple Strips Background. I'm not a super fan over how this turned out. I lacked idea and inspiration during this one. Now on the other hand, now I got many idea
