Hello and welcome! 

This card was a struggle, I struggled so much trying to decide what to put as an background to my car! I don't have stamps, or dies, of houses, trees, hills and clouds cause I'm not a scenemaking cardmaker, but if I'm gonna continue entering SSS challenges I might have to get some 😁 

The theme for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge this week is "Transport It". And the only stamp I've got that fits into transporting something is this car with a bicycle on the roof... I got to start buying other stamps than flowers 😂

Anyway, here it is! 




Supplies:
  • Background: Distress Oxide on black card stock with some splashes.
  • The car stamp is from Panduro, a Nordic/Norwegain craft store.
  • Altenew Leaf Frame Cover Die.
  • Sentiment from Tailored Expressions Simple Strips Background.
I'm not a super fan over how this turned out. I lacked idea and inspiration during this one. Now on the other hand, now I got many idea about how to make a sky with clouds and so on... Oh, well. Next time!

Watercoloring with Distress Oxide inks

Hello! This will be my very first real blog post and I have no idea how it will go.  Today it's Norway's Constitution Day and I spent it doing what I love the most, making cards!  So here is the result of that 😊 This is what I started with. I stamped the flowers with Distress Oxide Tattered Rose and the leaves with Cracked Pistachio. I used Altenew's Wallpaper Art stamp set.  I'm no expert in coloring, definetly not with watercoloring, but I have to say, I have improved! At least I think so myself.  This is all the colors i used and yes, I used them all! 😂 And as you can see, a regular Distress Ink was used since I don't have Forest Moss in Oxide.  This is the products I used, as I said Altenew's Wallpaper Art stamp set, Pretty Pink Posh Thoughtful Greetings stamp set and sequins from Little Things from Lucy's cards (sorry for the glare in the plastic). By the way, totally forgot to place Tonic Studio Nuvo Glitter Drops in Gold

A new day, a new card and a new post 😃  I'm going on a little holiday tomorrow so I will be gone from my inks and stamps and papers for 6 days! I'll miss them like crazy 😂 I've had this idea for a card project in my head for some days now and I'm not one to write down ideas when they arrive so today I just had to do it before I forgot it.  This is my Gina/Rina-combo card!  Rina Krupsky, the daughter of Gina K, posted a video on YouTube a couple of weeks ago where she made aged wood background using a mini ink cube. I thought that looked easy, but didn't try it out until today. It is easy, but getting it straight was another thing...😂  First I cut a 1 inch strip from some cardstock and lined it up with my white panel. Then I just dragged the ink pad onto the cardstock as I moved the strip.  This is the result when the dragging was done. Hello and welcome to my blog!  This card was fun to make, a lot of coloring and fussy cutting and ink blending. I came up with an idea while at work and I sketched the design out. It's almost like the design I had planned. Almost 🤣 Even though it's just a sketch you can see I can't draw... What looks like weird clothes hangers are supposed to represent mermaids and the weird S-shape under the water is a sea horse... So glad I have stamps!! 😂  I started with stamping out all the stamps so I could color them. My plan was to use every piece and every mermaid on my card.  My second plan was to have the mermaids in rainbow colors so I started at the top and worked my way down in the order of the rainbow.  And since I don't have any dies for these I fussy cut out all the pieces...  At this point my idea from the sketch went out the door.
