A butterfly card

Hello and welcome to my blog!  This will be one of my entries into Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge where the theme this week is "Make your own background", and I love making backgrounds so this will be perfect for me 😊 So with this card I did an alcohol ink background on Tim Holtz silver sparkle alcohol cardstock. I love how shimmery it gets.  Colors used: Dandelion Flamingo Turquoise Finished! 😁 I love how three colors can turn to different colors. I wished I had more purple shades, but I think it turned out great. You can't go wrong with alcohol inks!  😉 The background isn't done guite yet. I thought I would use a stencil and translucent embossing paste from Dreamveaver as texture. The stencil is Sunburst from Altenew.  Btw, love my Make Art Stay-TION from Wendy Vecchi! It's pink!

A new day, a new card and a new post 😃  I'm going on a little holiday tomorrow so I will be gone from my inks and stamps and papers for 6 days! I'll miss them like crazy 😂 I've had this idea for a card project in my head for some days now and I'm not one to write down ideas when they arrive so today I just had to do it before I forgot it.  This is my Gina/Rina-combo card!  Rina Krupsky, the daughter of Gina K, posted a video on YouTube a couple of weeks ago where she made aged wood background using a mini ink cube. I thought that looked easy, but didn't try it out until today. It is easy, but getting it straight was another thing...😂  First I cut a 1 inch strip from some cardstock and lined it up with my white panel. Then I just dragged the ink pad onto the cardstock as I moved the strip.  This is the result when the dragging was done. One background stamp, two cards

Hello, and welcome to my blog.  I finally got my hands on Simon Says Stamp Floral Mix background stamp! It was in the mail when I got back from visiting family and it's amazing. I made two cards with it and below you'll see how it went 😃 Card #1 - coloring with watercolor pencils Frist I stamped the image on regular Neenah White cardstock. I know it would be better to do it on watercolor paper, but it's what I chose and I have used watercolor on regular cardstock before and it works fine 😊 But of course, nothing beats watercolors on watercolor paper.  Then I just used an oval die to cut out a piece. This is the pencils I used, nothing expensive, bought them from an online store here in Norway called Adlibris.  I felt I needed a background and I decided to use this stencil from Simon Says stamp with Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry on light pink cardstock.  Time to put the card together.
